To ensure smooth mobility and preserve your Wheeleo® for as long as possible, a few simple checks and maintenance steps are recommended:
1. Check the Rotation of the Casters
- The wheels should rotate freely and pivot 360° without locking.
- Dust, hair, or dirt can interfere with the proper functioning of the ball bearings. Clean them regularly using a cloth, small brush, or compressed air (such as keyboard cleaner spray).
- Once clean, apply a universal lubricant (like WD-40) to the bearings.
- Repeat this process whenever the Wheeleo® becomes less smooth to use.
It is recommended to avoid surfaces such as sand, water, grass, or gravel: they accelerate wear and require more frequent maintenance.
2. Check the Caster Attachments
To reinforce the tightening, you can apply a thread locker (for example, Loctite 243) on the threading before screwing back in (see video demonstration).
The casters are attached by threaded rods. It is important to regularly check that they are tightly secured, especially when used on uneven or vibrating surfaces.
If necessary, tighten them using a 14 mm wrench, turning clockwise.
