Testimonial of Michel B.
August 16, 2020 – A bolt from the blue.
A cerebrovascular accident (CVA). In a few seconds, life changes. Left hemiplegia.
A difficult month, including 8 days in intensive care at Chirec in Braine-l’Alleud.
Mid-September, transfer to CHN William Lennox for rehabilitation. Priority objective: return to normal walking by the end of 2020. A daring challenge!
The one-handed walker, the Wheeleo®
Initial small apprehension, quickly dissipated.
At first: step by step, a hesitant walk. It’s wobbly. The physiotherapist, through energetic support, prevents any tumble.
Very quickly, I gain confidence, with my hand firmly gripping the Wheeleo® handle, ensuring balance.
The physiotherapist gradually releases his support. And it rolls, and it walks, and it rolls, and it walks!
The wheels give fluidity to the walk. Flexibility and confidence set in.
After two months, I walk alone in the center’s corridors. The only aid: the Wheeleo®.
By mid-December, after three months, the Wheeleo® is abandoned. A brief transition to a crutch, for safety reasons. Walking is normalized.
Goal achieved! The time has come to return home (December 18).
Thanks to the physiotherapists, and to the Wheeleo® walker. But the determination to overcome also helped accelerate the process.

Conclusion
This testimonial highlights the importance of well-supervised rehabilitation, but also the essential contribution of the Wheeleo® in the recovery process. Thanks to this tool, Michel was able to progressively regain his mobility, with confidence and stability, until reaching his goal of walking normally in just a few months.
While the will to fight played a crucial role, the Wheeleo® made it easier to take each step towards autonomy. This testimonial perfectly illustrates the effectiveness of this equipment in accompanying patients on their path to recovery and resuming their daily lives.
