After a head injury, Aur\u00e9lien, a young high-school student, regained his mobility, confidence and social ties thanks to Wheeleo\u00ae. His mom tells the story, and so does he. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some tools are life-changing. Not metaphorically – really. That’s what Aur\u00e9lien’s mom sums up in one phrase, recurring several times in these testimonials: “There’s a before and an after.”<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just over five years ago, Aur\u00e9lien suffered a serious accident. A head injury that left him with lasting motor sequelae and a daily risk of falling. Since then, his life has revolved around one imperative: getting around safely, without cutting himself off from the world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Doctors and physiotherapists helped the family to think things through. The aim was to gradually reduce the level of support, while maintaining balance and safety during movement. Little by little, Aur\u00e9lien gained confidence. Enough to take the decisive step of taking the Wheeleo\u00ae to school. “It’s helped me to socialize more with others. Since school started, I’ve made a lot more friends.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teachers and administrative staff have noticed this without being asked: “We see him more. He’s more mobile, more outgoing. Aur\u00e9lien, he’s around more.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What the mother describes in this second video is the concrete transformation of everyday school life. Before, Aur\u00e9lien was often alone. With the Wheeleo\u00ae, his movements are more fluid, there are fewer obstacles, and contact with others is more natural. “There’s more dynamism, more movement, it’s more flexible. There’s less of a barrier than with a rollator.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This gain in mobility also means a gain in presence – in the full sense of the word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Part of the answer lies in the fact that the Wheeleo\u00ae solves the problem where the walker failed. Their old device weighed 11 kilos. Mom had to take it out of the trunk three or four times a day – school, physio, shopping.
