Blind and undergoing rehabilitation, he faced a major problem: he needed support to walk… but also his guide dog to move around safely. Traditional walking aids require two hands, making it impossible for him to do both.

While searching for a solution, David came across the Wheeleo® and contacted our team to understand if the aid could suit his situation. After several technical discussions about stability, terrain, support capacity, and use for visually impaired individuals, David decided to test the device with our distributor in Australia.

Within the first few steps, the change was spectacular.
With the Wheeleo® in one hand and his guide dog in the other, David managed to walk approximately 500 m safely, regaining a level of independence he thought was lost. His dog, initially hesitant, adapted very quickly. The only thing to watch out for: the tactile paving strips at the end of the sidewalk, which he learned to navigate easily by adjusting his technique.

Today, David uses the Wheeleo® daily, both in rehabilitation and for his outdoor movements.
